Billow

I haven’t written here in a long time.

But this does not mean that I haven’t had anything to write about; on the contrary, I have discovered and thought of more and more posts that I would like to write and share. They have been swimming in my head for a long time.

It has been a combination of being busy, getting busier, writer’s mental block and wanting to change the blog before starting to write again that has prevented me to so.

So first of all, I changed the name.

The previous name, Green Trails and Teapot Tales, was thought of almost 4 years ago. A lot has changed since then, including what I want this blog to be about. I would like it to be an outlet where I can create a bridge between everyday actions and their impact on the environment we all share, and to find ways to live in a sustainable way.

Environmental issues aren’t covered enough, most times I have to dig and search for information, rather than find on the front page, where it deserves to be. My aim is to pull these issues and conversations and make them rise to the surface, raise awareness, letting them become more familiar and easy to address, rather than some awkward argument to be stifled and swept under a carpet of comfortable delusion.

Billow.

I found this word during the umpteenth search for a new, fresh, short word or concept to give a new life to my writing platform. I was at Ms Cupcake’s in Brixton with D and it just sounded ideal. A wave carrying gentle or impactful information.

I hope you find the upcoming posts interesting, stimulating and timely, and I look forward to reading your comments and thoughts.

Thank you for sticking around, I wish you a wonderful and peaceful 2016!
